Local truck guy said he can update Regular Solus to the last one 15.2 version. I asked him how can he do it but snap on corporate said to me they don't even sell 15.2 anymore. He said he saved the 15.2 file so he can do it for $300.
Obviously something funny is going on here. That's pretty interesting. I didn't know a dealer could roll back their ScanBay to do that. I suppose if they saved their old CDs it would still work though. Obviously it can be done. As far as corporate Snap-on is concerned, as soon as a new update is available, the old part numbers are turned off. One reason for this is that it saves someone from mistakenly buying an old update.

Press Release - The New 16.2 Diagnostic Software Upgrade From Snap-on Snap-on’s new 16.2 software upgrade means technicians’ handheld tools will provide the same comprehensive performance as on the first day of use. The latest release brings the tools right up to date on the latest vehicles plus it adds in tests and tips that are tried and proven by Snap-on’s team of experts. Packed with more than 100,000 new systems, codes and tests on vehicles dating back to the 1992 model year, the software stays advanced as vehicles continue to develop with coverage for technology that didn’t exist until a few years ago – such as collision avoidance and lane departure systems. Updates to the Component Test Meter coverage include the addition of Lexus and the manufacturer’s ABS menus, new vehicles for Mazda, Nissan and Renault, and three new technology classes – driver assistance, pressure transducer, and tips for successful fault-finding.
